We have just returned from our ski vacation at Whistler Blackcomb resort in British Columbia, Canada. What a fantastic stay it was, with amazing skiing, amazing Rocky Mountain views and amazing Whistler accommodations at the Montebello.
Montebello townhouse, on the north end of Whistler Village, more than lived up to our expectations. In fact, Montebello Whistler was far more luxurious than what most of us are used to living in! We came with two other couples, and we were able to all fit comfortably and each couple had their own room.
Every day we’d make breakfast in Montebello’s awesome kitchen, and then catch the free bus to the Blackcomb and Whistler mountain ski lifts. After a full day of skiing hard, we’d stagger home to this beautiful Whistler resort accommodation and enjoy Montebello’s awesome hot tub. I think sitting outside in the hot tub, with snow falling on my shoulders, a cold beer in my hand and the fantastic view of Whistler Blackcomb resort before me was my favourite part of the trip. After our après we’d head into Whistler village for dinner, or take turns cooking for the crowd.
Having such a spacious living area in Montebello Whistler meant we could all relax together in the evenings, whenever we could stay awake past 8:30 that is. Our Whistler Blackcomb ski vacation was lots of fun, especially being able to hang out with our friends in the Montebello townhouse.
The area around Montebello is beautiful. We’d love to come back in the summer so we can see it when the flowers are in bloom, and check out the mountain bike park that everyone was talking about. I’m sure that soaking in Montebello’s hot tub while looking at blue skies and gorgeous views will feel just as good.
