Whistler Blackcomb is the ultimate family friendly resort offering tons of snow-based thrills that are sure to get your whole family laughing and having a good time.

Much more than simply a ski-focused resort, Whistler Blackcomb is a true family-centric playground with an almost endless array of exciting and thrilling activities to fill up your days and nights.

Regardless of the ages and skill abilities of your family, you’ll find things you can do side by side. Some help everyone in your family work on their skills in fun and creative ways, while others are fantastic simply for the sheer joy they bring you when you hear your children’s laughter ring out again and again.

Start with the Basics: Whistler Ski School

Don’t worry, this is one school that will have your kids begging to attend. From private lessons for all ages to fun-infused ski camps, you’ll find plenty of ways to match up your child’s abilities to the type of instruction available.

You can even take lessons as a family with an instructor who will match activities and skill builders to dovetail with the experience level of both you and your kids. There’s no better way to get the ski fun started right away!

Already know how to ski or want to add snowboarding to your snow repertoire? Whistler Blackcomb offers snowboard camps and lessons, too!

Looking for a Different Kind of Snow Activity? Try Tubing!

Today’s modern tubing is a far cry from the toboggan rides you took down the snow-covered hills in your childhood hometown. At the Coca-Cola Tube Park, situated on Whistler Blackcomb’s Base 2 Zone, there are seven exhilarating tubing lanes to choose from.

With no skill set required — just a lot of enthusiasm and a huge dollop of adventure — it’s the kind of activity the whole family can join in together with little to no prep. The conveyor tube lift provides easy access to the tube lanes so tiny legs and arms don’t get worn out carrying tubes that are nearly as big as they are.

With the ability to enjoy the sparkling, crystal views of the Coca-Cola Tube Park during the evenings — thanks to the full lighting system — as well as an sound system that pipes in family-friendly music, you won’t find a better family activity that promises to have you and your kids laughing and racing to slide just one more time.

Outdoor Playgrounds at Whistler — With a Twist

Need a break from the slopes and tube lanes, but still need something that let’s your little ones burn off some of the seemingly endless energy? Then head over to check out the Tree Fort on Whistler or the Magic Castle on Blackcomb — or visit both of these unique outdoor play spaces. Park your boards and your skis and explore them with your kids, or sit back and rest a bit as you watch their faces light up as they discover each of these unique offerings.

All of the outdoors is your family’s playground when you embark on an authentic adventure in the Canadian wilderness with your own dog sled team. You and your family will help prep the team while working alongside a professional musher. Then climb aboard the dog sled and make yourself comfortable! You’re about to get the most thrilling ride of your life.

You can also gather everyone together for a snowshoe tour and learn how people get around on top of the snow. Be warned though! It’s a lot more challenging than it looks.

Olympic Park is also open for those families who want to enjoy free skating in a charming outdoor setting.
