An enclave of fine apartments in a lush forest setting with inviting trails located at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain. Close to it all, yet blissfully away from the pace of the Village. Here are the four cornerstones of the community: the mountains, Lost Lake, Chateau Whistler Golf Course and the Village. Quiet at night and a perfect base camp for activity during the day. Features include a Kids Centre, adult games room with a wide screen TV and a billiard table, lounge area with wet bar and a patio complete with barbecue.
We obviously enjoy Whistler and the Horstman house experience as our repeat trips demonstrate. The only thing that seems like a bit of a hassle from our perspective is the difficulty involved in securing a reservation for a designated room. When it's just the two of us we like to stay in 410 with 411 as an alternative but we never seem to be able to get 100% confirmation that we will get those rooms even when we specify them when we make our reservation. Otherwise everything seems well managed and well maintained. Thanks,
The condo in Horstman House was bigger and more luxurious than I had been expecting. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The bed was huge and very comfortable. It would have been more convenient if we could have checked in at the venue and it was a bit confusing at first but I do appreciate that we were not travelling in peak season. I would very happily stay at Horstman House again if I returned to Whistler.
HORSTMAN HOUSE. Unit 408, top floor, forest side. Accommodation was excellent - even better than expected. The unit was in very good condition, clean and had all the amenities we needed in good working order. I was also very quiet with the exception of adjoining balcony guest noise until 11 PM one night, and some guest hallway noise. Parking was excellent, underground, secure and included. Only minor complaint is the bed was a bit lumpy and had a plastic cover which does not provide the most comfortable sleep.
We have stayed in four different units at Horstman House over the years and we will plan to return the next time we come to Whistler. Some of the things that keep us returning are: the units are well equipped, modern, and spacious, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the pool area is beautiful with a very large hot tub to relax in, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Horstman House is a bit of a trek up the hill from Blackcomb Base but once there you are in a lovely, quiet space away from the busyness of town, with very easy access to Lost Lake and the great x-c biking, skiing and hiking in the area. (And there is a free bus shuttle to town when you don't want to walk.)
Excellent location, close enough and yet far enough from the main Village area. Staff was very helpful with our requests. My family would definitely stay here again.
